1.Grant of license

Subject to your acceptance of and compliance with this EULA and our Terms & Conditions, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to install and use AxomLipi Pro in object-code form for its intended purpose of typing and text processing.

2.License scope by edition

You may use the app only within the limits of the edition you have purchased. Each license activation is counted against your edition's total.

3.Activation & device binding

The app uses a license key together with a hardware fingerprint of your computer to activate and validate your license online via our licensing provider. This binds your license to your authorized device(s) and helps prevent unauthorized copying. You agree not to interfere with or circumvent this mechanism. If you change or replace your hardware, contact us to re-issue or re-bind your activation.

4.Transfer

Your license is non-transferable and may not be sold, gifted, sublicensed or shared with another person or organization without our prior written consent. Enterprise licenses must remain within the purchasing organization.

5.Restrictions

You may not:

• Use the app beyond the number of users/PCs your edition permits;
• Copy, distribute, resell, rent, lease, lend or host the app for others;
• Reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble the app, except to the extent the law expressly permits;
• Remove, disable or tamper with licensing, activation or anti-tamper protection;
• Remove or alter copyright, trademark, logo or other proprietary notices.

6.Ownership

AxomLipi Pro is licensed, not sold. We retain all right, title and interest in and to the app, including its source code, design, name, logo and branding, and all intellectual-property rights. This EULA grants you only the rights expressly stated here. Documents you create with the app belong to you.

7.Open-source components & attributions

AxomLipi Pro includes the following third-party open-source components, used under their respective licenses. We gratefully acknowledge their authors. These components remain governed by their own licenses:

Full license texts for these components are available from their respective projects and, where required, are included with the application files. This EULA does not limit your rights under those open-source licenses with respect to those components.

8.Legacy font names (Geetanjali & similar)

The app's Font Converter, PageMaker/InDesign auto-switch features, and this documentation refer to third-party legacy Assamese/Bengali fonts by name — most commonly Geetanjali, GeetanjaliLight and ABTT Geetanjali — because these are the de-facto standard fonts used in existing PageMaker 7 documents across the industry. These names are used strictly for identification and interoperability: so the app can recognize and convert text that is already encoded to that font's byte layout, and so users can tell which font their existing documents expect.

We do not own, author, distribute or bundle these fonts. AxomLipi Pro does not ship any font files — it reads and writes byte sequences compatible with a font that must already be installed on your own system. We made a genuine effort to identify the original author/publisher and licensing terms of these fonts before publishing this notice, and were unable to find any definitive ownership, copyright or licensing information attached to them — they appear to circulate as publicly available files across the Assamese desktop-publishing community, with no license terms accompanying any copy we found. This should not be read as a claim that the fonts are unowned or license-free, only that we could not locate that information despite looking.

If you are the rightful owner or copyright holder of any font named above, or have licensing information we should credit or act on, please contact us — we will add proper attribution, correct this notice, or remove the reference, as appropriate, promptly.

9.Updates

We may provide updates, patches and new versions. Unless stated otherwise, updates are covered by this EULA. Some editions include free updates as described on our website.

10.Term & termination

This EULA is effective until terminated. It terminates automatically if you breach any of its terms, including the restrictions above. On termination, you must cease all use of the app and remove it from your device(s). Sections 6, 7, 11 and 12 survive termination.

11.Warranty disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, nor the perfect accuracy of voice recognition, OCR or font-conversion output. You assume the entire risk as to the quality and performance of the app.

12.Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or business, arising out of or related to the app or this EULA. Our aggregate liability shall not exceed the license fee you paid.

13.Governing law

This EULA is governed by the laws of India. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Assam, India.
